Cathy McKinley

Manager

Cathy has been with Northland Property Management at Century 21 Northland, located in their downtown Traverse City office since 2013.

Originally from Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, Cathy began her real estate career in a family business specializing in the ownership and management of apartment buildings and small shopping centers in the Greater Pittsburgh area.

Having a broad based real estate related background, Cathy’s work history has included progressive management experience together with Residential and Commercial Real Estate Sales, Mortgage Banking, Multi-Unit Leasing and Property Management, Third Party Relocation, Facilities and Operations Management in the Lifestyle Shopping Mall industry and Office Management.

Related education credentials include Michigan Real Estate Associate Broker License, Pennsylvania Real Estate Sales License and Pennsylvania Real Estate Associate Broker License, Graduate Real Estate Institute I, II, and III, accredited courses in Appraisal, Construction, Law Practices, Property Management and Residential Sales Fundamentals and she is a Graduate of Bend Chamber of Commerce ‘Leadership Bend’ program, Bend Oregon.

Cathy enjoys the outdoors, hiking and photography and resides with her husband in the Suttons Bay area.

Maria de’Leon

Manager

Maria joined Northland Property Management from the Holland and Lakeshore Area. Maria began her experience in Property Management in 2007 assisting investment groups in the greater Grand Rapids area acquiring new Condo and Apartment Communities. Maria worked with investors, procuring and repurposing properties as new progressive residential communities.

Maria worked for eight years in the Holland and Lakeshore area leasing single family homes, condos, townhomes, andapartments for a successful Property Management Company before coming to Traverse City. Maria’s experience includes relocation, corporate housing, and temporary housing for insurance claims.

Maria has a broad background in housing including her work for the Ottawa County Housing Assessment ResourceAgency (HARA). In addition to managing properties for the Community Housing Partnership, Maria worked with benevolent landlords, and provided home-based tenant education, teaching tenants life skills and the importance of being valued tenants to achieve sustainable housing.

Nancy Moothart

Property Management Administrator

Nancy comes from a broad background in the financial industry, including several years in commercial loan analysis, bookkeeping and financial investment administration throughout West Michigan. She handles our accounting, drafts leases and owner agreements, sends monthly Owner distributions and statements, schedules routine maintenance and helps coordinate individual maintenance service calls with Tenants and vendors. She enjoys water skiing, cross-country skiing and traveling.
